Stuffed Peppers

After a trip to Haymarket, I fixed stuffed peppers. Now, it's important to know that I hate peppers, but I bought red, orange and yellow ones for this dish. I must say, they were really filling, I could barely finish two halves. Ingredients were simple: vegetable stock, shredded carrot, chopped onion, bulgur, dried cranberries and shredded cheese.

Malbec Poached Pears

After my South American trip I wanted to recreate a dessert we made in Argentina. I didn't follow a recipe. I just poured nearly a half a bottle of malbec, threw in some sugar and water and poached the peeled pears and simmered them for 30-45 minutes. They were delicious, though I probably used way too much wine. The sauce/juice was super tasty.
