Today was a good day. I pretended I was on vacation and went down to Paris Creperie for some delicious crepes for breakfast and stopped at Starbucks for a latte. I ate my breakfast out on the back patio and read my book. I then went down to the gym down the street from me. Since my gym changed at work, we now can use a gym in Coolidge Corner. It is way nice, like a gym at a spa! I worked out for 2 hours with one of my friends and am excited about being able to workout closer to home. The music they had playing took me back to the late 90s when The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Destiny’s Child, Spice Girls, etc were popular…not the ideal workout music though! So hopefully this will help me drop the pounds I’ve been trying to lose!
After feeling really good about myself, I decided to break into my scrapbooking stuff. I haven’t touched my scrapbooks since before I moved to Boston. So, I pulled everything out that I had and what Suz gave me before she moved and worked on my travel scrapbook from 2008 (yeah, I’m quite behind!). I’m so glad that I typed my adventures and saved my stories on my computer; referencing my notes really helped while I put together some of the pages tonight.
My living room was covered with paper, glue, markers, scissors, stickers and other scrapbooking essentials. I had forgotten how big of a project scrapbooking is and how much time it takes. It was fun to go though all the states I visited, reminiscing on the adventures I had. It also made me realize that just because I’ve been to 49 states, it doesn’t mean I can’t go back. There are so many sites I didn’t get to visit while I was on my tour, and can totally go back to visit more. I don’t know why it took me so long to figure that out!
This started as a 365 day-by-day blog of my life in Boston as a 2nd year transplant from May 2010- May 2011. I continued into my 3rd year before one of my New Year's Resolutions was to make something new each week. So I blogged about my dishes with photos. Now, another resolution has brought me back to blogging. In March 2014 I plan on spending only $45 which can only go towards food/beverages. Stay tuned to see how I do.
