It's that time of year. The HMS quad is turned into what looks like a circus. The white tent goes up, the chairs get polished, the banners get hung and forget about traveling by car over in Cambridge near the main campus in Harvard Yard. Today is an easy day at work, I really haven't done much because no one else is really doing much since many are participating in the Commencement day activities. The weather is gorgeous, but hot. My temp widget on my computer reads 80°, but know under the ten is much warmer. Not too much humidity, which is nice too. For the HMS/HSDM (Medical and Dental) Class Day event under the tent, I stood outside to watch and listen to Dr. Atul Gawande's Commencement address. He's such a down to earth guy, very simple and yet inspiring speech for the new round of doctors. One of my really good friends graduated this morning in Harvard Yard and I had a blast celebrating this huge accomplishment with her close friends and family with dinner at The Elephant Walk.
