I don't need no man!

So today was an interesting day. I still haven't learned to listen to my gut. Like today I was out the door early but just missed the earlier bus by 1 minutes. So my gut said to walk to work instead of waiting 15 minutes for the next bus, which is my usual bus (the bus that is never on time and has no schedule). But instead of listening to my gut, I waited and was late for work because said bus was late (shocking!).

I skipped the gym after work and worked my muscles by moving my flat screen off my dresser and into its box, my dresser, my bed (which weighs a ton), and smaller dresser out of my room and into the living and dining area of the apartment. All that is left is my AC unit in the window. The guys are coming at 8am so I am hoping they can help me lift the AC out of the window, b/c no matter how much I say I don't need no man to help me... I really do need an extra hand with the AC b/c the two hands I have just aren't enough. But I feel quite accomplished that I was able to move things out...it is nice having hardwood floors instead of carpet b/c things slide so much easier. Can't wait until this is over!

Tonight I had organized a dinner at a Japanese restaurant in my hood... Fugakyu. 8 of us had our own private room, we had to take our shoes off before entering the room and sat at this table which is hard to describe. It was pretty cool. I had some sushi and sake, ramen noodles with tofu (taking 1/2 of it for lunch tomorrow) and red bean fried ice cream. It was delish and met some new people. Looks like I'll have to organize another ethnic dinner next month. People seem to really enjoy my leadership skills, and I enjoy having people to do stuff with :)
So now it's bed time, sleeping on my bed in the living room tonight. Hopefully the firetrucks next door don't make too much noise. Tomorrow is going to be a very long day and can't wait to see my sister and the babies! Good night y'all.
