Well, I woke up this morning with yet another sinus cold. You know how some people feel a storm coming b/c their joints ache? Well, I think my signal is a sinusitis. When the barometric pressure lowers (as it does with storms) I think it messes with me. Flurries this afternoon, but that didn't deter date night with Mario and my good friend Suzanna. We had Chinese take out from Dragon Star across the street from me, then made homemade guacamole with my avocados to go along with Suzanna's cocktail she created. We then moved part of my sectional in front of my TV and played Wii games, like the old school Super Mario Brothers which I still suck at... I think I went through 8 sets of lives as we got through world one and 1.5 levels in world 2. We tried my Bobsled game which is so lame, I'm glad I only paid $6 for it. Then, a Wario game and ended the night with MarioKart. Then before she left, she gave me some quick hooping lessons. I am borrowing a hula hoop from her to practice and to add another fun thing to my routine in hopes of getting back in shape. I'm going to be held accountable, so I guess I'll be doing 10-15 minutes a day of hooping until I can get up to 30 minutes a day. Will see how this goes. Now off to bed while the snow comes down. Should wake up to a winter wonderland with 8 or so fresh inches of snow.
This started as a 365 day-by-day blog of my life in Boston as a 2nd year transplant from May 2010- May 2011. I continued into my 3rd year before one of my New Year's Resolutions was to make something new each week. So I blogged about my dishes with photos. Now, another resolution has brought me back to blogging. In March 2014 I plan on spending only $45 which can only go towards food/beverages. Stay tuned to see how I do.
