Tonight I went to the 3rd game of the Sox/Yankee home opener series. Best seats I've ever sat in, 8 rows from the field giving me perfect view of Derek Jeter scratching his butt. It was a great game. I loved the guys from Dorchester who sat behind me (with their accents). They were talking baseball the entire night. Love it! I need a guy like that. The Sox beat the Yankees 4 to 0. I was slightly disappointed with the boys from San Diego who didn't do much. It started sprinkling during the 7th, but stopped. Then came down quite a bit in the 8th. When Papelbon came in for the 9th the weather cleared up. Now I can't get "Sweet Caroline", Dropkick Murphy or some of the batter songs out of my head "what you know about that?". Home by midnight (that's one thing I hate about east coast nationally televised games, they don't start until 8pm here). I had a blast and can't wait to go to more games later in the season.
[mouse news: I had just bought a bag of M&Ms today at CVS and some peeps, and I left them in a bag by my back door on the floor... came home from the game to see M&Ms all over the kitchen floor by the bag... the freakin mice are not going away and now they are getting into my food!! Time to call the landlord I think! GRRRRRR.]
