Tonight I went out to Somerville for a friend's birthday dinner. My last Restaurant Week outing. Once again, kind of upscale with a somewhat formal place setting. Napkins would magically get folded when you got up and stepped away from the table. 3 courses in 3 hours. The food servings were perfect portion controlled sizes. We weren't rushed, and had plenty of time to chat, drink and eat.
Course 1: salad
Course 2: delicious plantain gnocchi with black beans and avocado
Course 3: pretty much like a small puff pastry with chocolate on top.
1 alcoholic beverage: Beacon Fix (Reyka Vodka, lemon, Luxardo Triplum, bergamot-rooibos syrup)
I had a lovely night catching up with friends who I haven't seen since the end of last year. The food was good and the staff were wonderful.
