Today I ran into town on a rainy day [well took the T and walked...I don't run]. There are certain buildings in Boston that I love admiring. As you have read in a few posts this year, the Pru is one of them. The John Hancock tower is another one that is really hard to miss, this weird glass sky scraper in the middle of old stone looking buildings. Anyway, the building with the red beacon on top is the Berkeley Building. This weather beacon shining steady red means rain (though, I argue it should be flashing blue as it was cloudy and not raining). If it was blinking red, it would mean snow…it also has blue lights which if steady means the weather is clear or flashing blue which means clouds. This can be seen throughout Boston, so if looking out your window doesn't give you a clue as to what the weather is like, you can look up in the sky and read the weather beacon :)
This started as a 365 day-by-day blog of my life in Boston as a 2nd year transplant from May 2010- May 2011. I continued into my 3rd year before one of my New Year's Resolutions was to make something new each week. So I blogged about my dishes with photos. Now, another resolution has brought me back to blogging. In March 2014 I plan on spending only $45 which can only go towards food/beverages. Stay tuned to see how I do.
