Turkish dinner w/ one of my friends in Brookline Village tonight. Stop 3 on my "Tour of Brookline Restaurants". I had a really good time. He is sometimes a vegetarian so we always get something I can eat to share and then order something else for us to eat individually. He got whatever our waitress said was the best dish (looked like goulash but the meat was in these little noodles, so sort of like a ravioli). I got stuffed baby eggplant, which was really good and filling. Two and a half hours later after great conversation, Turkish Kola and more food than we could eat... we had to get our desserts to go b/c there was no way I was leaving without getting baklava and there was no way I could eat any more. I might have one triangle before I jump into bed, but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. Topics over dinner ranged from work to Broadway shows, from Sanford and Son to YouTube, from hooking up with someone they met on LinkedIn to an okcupid blog which broke down most commonly used words in profiles by gender, race, religion, etc. I learned that Jersey Boys is a musical I must see, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons I grew up listening to, so I'm kind of excited to see when that show is in town. It was a good time. I'm so stuffed! Now I need to do some research for the next Brookline dinner for October.
