Real-Time

Today I read that Boston's buses finally got those GPS trackers for real-time bus tracking. So today I downloaded an app for that! It's not the greatest app. I have to keep refreshing the route I take to and from work and so it's not as cool as the LMA shuttles which actually track better, without having to refresh, but it's a start! Now, if I miss the bus in the morning, I can see where the next bus is and decide if I want to wait or hope the T and take an alternate route, same with going home from the gym or work. This will be nice in the wintertime, so I don't have to stand outside in bad weather as long, can just check to see where the bus is and decide when to leave the apartment or office. So, we will see how it goes. I tried to see when this bus would come after the gym today and it took forever to load. But then, this particular time's bus driver is the crazy Talladega driver who goes super fast and always honks the horn, lol. So maybe it just couldn't keep up with her speed racing down Brookline Ave. Oh, the joys of riding the bus 15 minutes to get to and from work.
