Today I was summoned to brunch by my BBFF so I could fill her and another girlfriend in on last night. So far we are girls 0 brunch 2. Aquitane in Chestnut Hill. We didn't have reservations and they treated us like crap. We weren't seated until after 12, 15 minutes after we arrived, so we couldn't order from the special menu. Then it took 45 minutes from the time we were seated til the time we got our drinks. The Belgium waffle was good, but not the best brunch experience. Then off to see Chris Young, Kellie Pickler, and Rascal Flatts. Loved the concert. The arena reminded me of a theme park in a way...woods, a little dining area for VIP folks, than a concert venue. Cowboy hats, cowboy boots, beer and a southern twang. I like Rascal Flatts b/c of their twang/gospel style singing. They put on a good show, that's for sure. Traffic in the parking lot sucked getting out. We waited nearly an hour without moving, then finally decided to follow some cars along a barricade, and got out in less than 5 minutes. But while we waited there were guys sitting on the tailgate of their pick-up trucks listening to more Rascal Flatts songs, this girl dancing in the middle of the cars in our section of the lot, doing cheer leading, stripper, choreographed dance moves to nothing in particular. Anyway, short weekend, just got in and am exhausted, tomorrow is going to be one heck of a Monday to get through...6 hours of sleep if I'm lucky, I'm going to be bitchy...guarantee it.
This started as a 365 day-by-day blog of my life in Boston as a 2nd year transplant from May 2010- May 2011. I continued into my 3rd year before one of my New Year's Resolutions was to make something new each week. So I blogged about my dishes with photos. Now, another resolution has brought me back to blogging. In March 2014 I plan on spending only $45 which can only go towards food/beverages. Stay tuned to see how I do.
