Tonight was Mexican themed Game Night. Well, ok, we had Mexican food for dinner- didn't play Mexican Train, but the food was yummy and the games we did play, always entertaining. Everyone was assigned various items to make tacos with. There was beef, tofu and beans, refried beans, hard and soft taco shells, avocados, cheese (vegan and lactose free), onions, cilantro, lettuce, tomatoes, limes, salsa, sour cream and to drink I had low calorie margaritas. Tonight is my last night drinking until St. Paddy's day, so I made sure I finished off what was open. We had a great time. I have been trying to enjoy the company rather than work so much when I have people over and I had to take a photo of the three men in my kitchen prepping the food for us to enjoy! Who would have thought I'd have 3 guys actually doing some work in my kitchen? It was great, I just sat there drinking my margarita while the boys did most of the work. Games we played- a group favorite Catchphrase and for the first time Trivia Pursuit Pop Culture DVD edition. I hate Trivia Pursuit! I much rather just play the DVD and try guessing the answers. For the cheese, I got the sports question correct (shocking I know... it was a baseball question). And the girl team won, having more cheeses by the end of the night. It was a fun night and I am so thankful for this group of friends. So, now that the dishwasher is full of dishes, I'm running it, but still have tons of dishes piled in the sink that I will have to get to tomorrow. I caught a mouse overnight last night, so I am hoping that is it and that I get no overnight visitors tonight. Clearly the stupid ass maintenance guy didn't get the fumigators out here. So, that's 3 mice in as many months for those following my mouse saga. Buenos noches!
This started as a 365 day-by-day blog of my life in Boston as a 2nd year transplant from May 2010- May 2011. I continued into my 3rd year before one of my New Year's Resolutions was to make something new each week. So I blogged about my dishes with photos. Now, another resolution has brought me back to blogging. In March 2014 I plan on spending only $45 which can only go towards food/beverages. Stay tuned to see how I do.
