So I took an awesome photo of the rain in the light of street lamps and this is the second time in a week that I've used my camera on my phone to take some photos and when I go to upload them to use them for my blog, they aren't on the camera! Grr! Lightning and thunder and rain. I was taking Zumba tonight and we have a strobe light thingy and the lights off while we dance and all of a sudden there was a white flash reflecting off the mirrors, then thunder and when we looked out the windows...crap! Rain! I was going to walk to An Tua Nua for our private after season bowling party but was not expecting the rain and had no umbrella for the 20 minute walk. So, after changing I raced from the NRB to the closest HMS entrance where I had to use my card to swipe myself in (thank goodness I brought it b/c I almost didn't but something told me to keep it in my purse). This is the first time I roamed the halls of HMS after hours and I wasn't the only one there at 9pm on a Friday. It was pretty quiet and I pretended I was someone cool as I strolled down the halls and made my way through the maze of corridors to my office. I grabbed one umbrella from my office and decided to eat my dinner before heading out. Of course, by the time I was done eating, the rain had stopped. Go figure! I didn't need the umbrella (of course!) and was able to catch a bus so I had only a 6 minute vs. 20 minute walk vs.
Irish Pub, free beer, private party and it was raining men...only I was really confused b/c there were TONS of gay guys. So I stuck with my group and had fun dancing some more. God do my feet hurt from being on them for so long, and I was wearing tennis shoes all night! My first alcohol free day was a success (gosh, that makes it sound like I drink all the time, which I do NOT)- even at the party I didn't have a drink, not even a taste. Being sober as everyone else gets tipsy is fun. I can be myself and say stupid shit and people laugh b/c apparently I get funnier the more people drink ;) Unfortunately, the only photo I have of the night (thanks Suz!) is of this Gaelic sign that translates to "Kiss me arse" or in proper English "kiss my ass" :) Cuz really, that's how I feel tonight about my stupid camera phone.
