Today I went to the Boston World Trade Center for the Travel Show. I got tons of free pens, reusable shopping bags, luggage tags and filled out tons of chances to win travel trips. Tons of people were smart enough to bring along address labels to cut time when filling out the forms. There were a lot of older retirees who were booking travel on the spot at the show. I took a flight on Jet Blue and got a taste of the Dominican Republic, tried some alcohol from someplace in the Caribbean and joined the snow birds down in Florida. I have tons of information for various travel companies and locations. Found a volunteer travel company who arranges group travel for volunteering, something that might be fun to try. Having never taken a cruise, I picked up some cruise brochures. They had the booths set up according to region. Florida had a huge presence (of course) and I did pick up some information on Africa trips. Oh boy, I’m itching for a trip and this just added to the urge to book a trip.
This started as a 365 day-by-day blog of my life in Boston as a 2nd year transplant from May 2010- May 2011. I continued into my 3rd year before one of my New Year's Resolutions was to make something new each week. So I blogged about my dishes with photos. Now, another resolution has brought me back to blogging. In March 2014 I plan on spending only $45 which can only go towards food/beverages. Stay tuned to see how I do.
